Gastroenterology/Hepatology
The Gastroenterology and Hepatology Group is for pharmacists providing pharmaceutical care to gastroenterology and or hepatology patients, whether it's your chosen specialty, just part of your job or even just an interest. The group aims to offer education and networking opportunities for its members, so as to improve professional practice and develop clinical knowledge. It will provide a forum for pharmacists to share ideas and good practice and to discuss new developments as well as address advances in this field.
The Group intends to:
- Provide improved networking for pharmacist working within gastroenterology and hepatology
- Provide education and training events
- Share clinical experience, evidence and best practice
- Encourage and support audit and practice research
- Looking at workforce management in pharmaceutical gastroenterology and hepatology
- Influence and establish national standards
