The Senior Pharmacy Managers Newsgroup provides networking support, and a repository for documents and information for pharmacists practicing in senior management roles regardless of experience or position.  This includes Directors of Pharmacy and Deputies / Assistants, Clinical Services Managers, Operational or Patient Services Managers, Governance leads and any others.  Those in a management position will appreciate that many of us are doing the same pieces of work, often in isolation, with nowhere to start, and nothing to compare with, which can be very stressful.  Therefore the Newsgroup intends to:

• Provide a resource and support mechanism for pharmacists taking their first steps in a management role.
• Provide a non-threatening forum in which to discuss or ask for advice regarding general issues in pharmacy management
• Provide a secure location to upload and download documents which may help you or others achieve goals in your management role
• Encourage high standards of pharmacy management by sharing best practice
• Depending on uptake and use of the website, consider ways in which further support could be provided.

Please note, there is no committee supporting this newsgroup, it is currently a stand alone service for UKCPA members.
