The Stroke electronic newsgroup aims to provide education and training and network support for pharmacists involved in the provision of care to stroke patients.

The group intends to:

• To provide education and training events (through the UKCPA Care of the Elderly Group’s study days and workshops)
• Provide a support network and resource centre for all pharmacists with an interest in the care of stroke patients
• Share clinical experience, evidence and best practice
• Monitor and maintain standards of practice
• Provide clinical expertise to new and existing stroke unit pharmacists
• Encourage and support practice research
